How to specify K11 polymer-cement waterproof coating before you ask for a quote.

A useful RFQ starts with the substrate, application and commercial requirements — not only the product name.

1 · Define the substrate

Start with where the coating will be applied.

K11 polymer-cement waterproofing is typically discussed for concrete and cementitious substrates. Tell the supplier whether the surface is concrete, mortar, masonry or another mineral substrate, and whether it is new construction or repair work.

Useful substrate details

  • Concrete, mortar or masonry
  • Horizontal floor, wall, balcony or terrace
  • Dry or damp application condition
  • New work or maintenance / repair
2 · Define the application

Describe the waterproofing job, not just “K11.”

Bathrooms, kitchens, balconies, terraces, walls and floors can have different application expectations. State whether the coating is concealed under tile or another finish and how it will be applied.

Application questions

  • Brush, roller or other application method
  • Indoor or outdoor use
  • Expected overcoat or tile system
  • Project or retail-channel use
3 · Define the commercial pack

Packaging matters to distributors and contractors.

RONVORA lists a standard gray K11 system and a 20 kg/set reference pack. For private-label or channel programs, confirm the required pack size, label language, carton/pallet needs and trial quantity before final quotation.

4 · Define the target standard

Do not assume every market asks for the same documentation.

Share the target standard, customer specification or benchmark TDS whenever possible. Final performance values, test methods and compliance documents should be confirmed against the intended market and order.

5 · Define the quantity

Trial and annual volume change the sourcing discussion.

State whether you need evaluation samples, a first container, a project quantity or an annual private-label program. Include the destination port and preferred Incoterm.

6 · Send a benchmark when available

A benchmark reduces interpretation.

If you already buy a comparable waterproofing product, send its TDS or your required performance window. The supplier can then discuss product matching instead of guessing from a generic name.
